Implement safety programs and systems to prevent unsafe environmental working conditions. Inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Conduct or coordinate safety and first aid training to educate workers about safety policies, laws and practices. Investigate industrial accidents and prepare accident reports. Ensure compliance with Federal and State Environmental regulations (air, waste and water).
Responsibilities:- Ensure environmental, health and safety compliance for a great company.
- Complete testing and reports for agencies.
- Lead plant safety initiatives and safety improvement teams
- Lead investigation teams
- Conduct safety and environmental training
- Lead internal safety audits teams and write policies and procedures.
- 5+ years of EHS experience.
- BS Degree is strongly preferred.
- Strong OSHA knowledge.
- Must be self motivated, well organized and team oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Extremely knowledgeable about LOTO procedures.
- Reporting for air quality and waste.
- Individuals must be proficient with a PC as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
