J&J Machine Company - Director of Finance and HR

The J&J Machine Company has an immediate opening for a Director of Finance and HR. This is a full-time, salaried position with full benefits. Reporting to the President, this is one of the key leadership positions at the company.

J&J Machine manufactures precision components for the aerospace, medical, and commercial sectors. Although we are a small (15-person) company, we strive to be world-class, and we are growing and improving at all times. We are ISO and 13485 certified. Qualifications:

- A full understanding of small-business finance including financial statements, QuickBooks, budgeting, A/R, A/P and payroll

- A full understanding of HR and benefits administration including health, dental, garnishments, retirement plan administration, and other benefits

- Excellent analysis skills and the ability to solve cross-functional business challenges

- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work with many different types of people, including customers, vendors, staff, management, and other stakeholders

- Flexibility to work extra hours when required to get the job done

- Familiarity with manufacturing a strong plus

- Knowledge of JobBOSS a strong plus

- Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, QuickBooks, etc.

- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively

- Undergraduate degree strongly preferred

- 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Responsibilities:

- All accounting responsibilities (A/R, A/P, financial statement generation, etc.)

- Coordinate with accountant to prepare tax returns

- All HR responsibilities, including benefits administration

- Weekly payroll administration

- Budgeting and forecasting and assistance with strategic planning

- Compensation analysis and recommendations

- Purchasing of office, kitchen and shop supplies

- Assistance with quoting, entering operational data, and other tasks

- Employee recognition, team-building activities, and other communications

- Facilitate the recruiting and hiring processes

- Maintain the employee handbook and administer other employee policies

- Other responsibilities as required to meet the needs of a growing business
