CMHA is seeking a very qualified applicant to become our new HMIS Training Coordinator and Data Assistant, to lead all facets of HMIS training across multiple platforms, and to assist our Quality Coordinator to ensure high quality data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide extensive training to various levels of users on HMIS data collection platforms and their respective reporting features

- Stay current with and provide detailed training on HUD Data Security standards and policies, which are hundreds of pages long and change annually.

- Maintain training documents in line with current HMIS Standards and HMIS best practices

- Create and maintain an online catalog of training materials

- Respond in a timely manner to requests for assistance

- Assist with troubleshooting data quality issues and production of reports as requested

- Represent Worcester CoC HMIS at CoC, HHB, and other community meetings on a regular basis

- Communicate with all stakeholders to keep them apprised of pending changes to HMIS Standards and HMIS systems

- Provide assistance as requested to the HMIS Data Quality Coordinator, including troubleshooting validation errors and facilitating data transfers via Excel and other standard formats

EDUCATION

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is important

- Experience producing written and screenshot/video tutorials

- Experience building / managing an online knowledge base

- Adept at presenting in front of groups

- Articulate and exhibiting solid writing skills

- Patience in dealing with users of varied skill sets and experiences

- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

- Ability to multitask

- Ability to work professionally and effectively with community partners

- Ability to develop and learn new skills

- Familiarity with housing and homeless service providers and issues

Special Work Conditions

- Must possess a valid Drivers License

- Must be able to travel to user sites to deliver training

- Must diligently track trainings, calls, and questions for internal reporting

- Must be flexible and willing to wear multiple hats as requested by management

- Must demonstrate a commitment to strong professional demeanor and ethics
