Business Systems Analyst, Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) Location: Modesto, CA Duration: Direct Hire

Kelly Technology is currently recruiting for a Business Systems Analyst with OTM experience to work on-site at our client headquartered in Modesto, CA. The ideal candidate will have a business systems analyst background and experience working within Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) performing basic modifications and configurations. You will be responsible for gathering business user requirements and working with Sr. Programmers to coordinate changes to OTM. This is not a Sr. level role, but candidates should have prior experience support ERP systems in a manufacturing, logistics or supply chain environment and working with SQL.

Summary The Business Systems Analyst solves organizational information problems by analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and designing, documenting, and implementing software solutions. Works closely with the business and IT to support the development and implementation of cost-effective technology solutions while focusing on business analysis and project management. Essential Functions • Leads moderately complex to complex projects that support the accomplishment of business objectives by studying business functions, gathering relevant information, and evaluating and documenting business user requirements. • Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) functional requirements. Can assess gaps and business impact and recommend solutions to leadership for moderately complex to very complex business systems processes. • Supports functional OTM implementations, coordinates upgrades, and manages application enhancements. • Designs software systems based on requirements; designs interfaces between systems; constructs workflow charts and diagrams; studies system capabilities; writes clear specifications. • Writes system policies and procedures to ensure process and data integrity. • Configures purchased software systems based on user requirements; can articulate the capabilities and limitations of purchased software solutions. • Improves existing systems or processes by assessing the current environment and recommending alternative feasible solutions. • Partners with IT in the leadership of systems projects. • Prepares project-phase plans and implementation schedules, plans and conducts meetings and workshops relative to these project plans, and communicates project status reporting to management. • Ensures that projects remain on track by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions. • Prepares test plans, executes tests, and analyzes results. • Develops best in class processes to support data and systems integrity. • Translates business data from multiple systems into a consolidated format for use in decision making. • Ensures data integrity across multiple systems in support of Logistics operations and reporting requirements. • Acts as a liaison with other departments, divisions, and organizations. • Writes and maintains documentation for super-users. Writes scripts for help desk support • Proactively monitors, identifies, documents, tracks and resolves ongoing day-to-day business issues pertaining to system functionality. • Provides on-call support during off-hours when needed. • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness. • Responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable policies. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate. • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Logistics, Math, or Engineering plus 3 years of business systems analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or 7 years of business systems analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. • Application of SQL skills in a work environment • Skilled in MS Word and PowerPoint at the basic level; skilled in MS Excel at the intermediate level. • Required to provide on-call support during off-hours when needed.

Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Math, or Engineering plus 8 years of systems analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or Master's degree in plus 5 years of systems analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. • Advanced application of SQL skills in a work environment • 3 years of experience managing OTM functional configuration and support • Experience in manufacturing, logistics or supply chain. • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Experience documenting requirements using a formal modeling tools like UML, flow charts, sequence diagrams. • Experience gathering requirements and eliciting feedback via stakeholder analysis, developing use cases and building mockups or prototypes. • Demonstrated project management skills. • Experience with business process reengineering, lean, or six sigma. • Experience with various systems architectures including, client-server, web-based, service oriented. • Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. • Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. • Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. • Experience resolving conflict and managing customer expectations. • Experience completing assignments that are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. Has latitude for unreviewed action or decision. • Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in this field of specialization.
