Network Intelligence Research Scientist – RL, Motion Planning, Trajectory Generation We are seeking a passionate and driven research scientist to play a crucial role on our research team, located at our Ann Arbor, MI, office. This individual will conduct algorithm development, vehicle and cooperative robotic testing, prototyping, and research projects. This division is at the cutting edge of the company’s core research and development activities. Responsibilities:
  • Research & develop multi-agent and multi-vehicle path planning and formation algorithms.
  • Research & develop multi-vehicle coordination algorithms.
  • Research reinforcement learning techniques for multi-agent coordination.
  • Integrate algorithms into a scalable simulation environment.
  • Integrate algorithms for real-world demonstrations.
  • Start a research path that leads to publication.

Qualifications:
  • Cooperative intelligence, cooperative robotics and cooperative motion planning experience.
  • Excellent programming skills in Pytorch and C.
  • Research experience in machine learning, path planning, and robotics.
  • Algorithmic knowledge of path planning and trajectory generation.
  • M.S. in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • An established record of publications in top journals or conferences.
  • Understanding of Motion Planning algorithms (LPA, DLite, Splines )
  • Experience developing multi agents path planning or reinforcement learning algorithms.
  • Experience in simulation of robotics and multi-agent systems in Unity or Unreal engines.
