In the Occupational Therapist role, you will be a crucial part of our commitment to serve others by providing quality service delivery through the evaluation and testing of program participants and the development of effective treatment plans for each individual. With an office based Ann Arbor, NeuroRestorative Michigan is seeking a dynamic OT to serve in Washtenaw County and neighboring Metro-Detroit communities. We serve participants in the office setting and in the home and community settings, when indicated.This autonomous and professional role offers flexible scheduling (hours that work for you!) and remote home access for planning and documentation, when appropriate. . Administer innovative treatment programs to program participants and communicate treatment needs to appropriate staff. Provide re-evaluation and programmatic changes, as necessary.

Our population of participants are in need of rehabilitation for TBI, SCI, orthopedic injury and other neurologic compromise.

Perform home modification and/or attendant care.evaulations, as needed.

Maintain timely and appropriate program participant documentation including the report of services; complete weekly schedule requests to meet OT goals of staff/program participants and submit it to supervisor.

Serve on rehabilitation treatment team(s), including attending team meetings, attending conferences, etc.

Attend departmental meetings for program development and establishing effective systems of operations team enhancement; attend training or seminars yearly to update knowledge and skills.

Collaborate with physicians, staff, professionals/paraprofessionals, consultants, families, and community resources to ensure effectiveness of occupational therapy program.

Participate in the maintenance of targeted departmental budget and monitoring of equipment Adhere to Service Monitoring System (SMS) standards for department, accreditation and licensure standards, and ethics of confidentiality.

Counsels, educate and advises individuals served and their families regarding Ot protocols and plan of care and develops home programs as needed to assure the maintenance of or acquisition of optimal functioning level for each participant.

Report and record assessments, evaluations, therapy interventions and participant changes according to physician orders and The Mentor Network's policies.

Offer peer review of utilization management.

Investigate and take appropriate actions on all concerns and/or complaints.

Maintain appropriate HIPAA compliance and a safe patient environment.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and one year of human services experience

One year of experience in neuro-rehabilitation preferred

Must be licensed OT/L in state and a member in good standing with AOTA

May require heavy work; may exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up-to 50 pounds of force frequently

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task

Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly

A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance

A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
