Will you answer GROUP/DIVISION The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Manage trade preference program qualification Assist with the determination of import/export codes and international documentation requirements Support daily operations by assisting with the release of shipment orders and acting as team backup for import/export related functions Assist with the filing of BIS (Dept. of Commerce) licenses and perform export screening in accordance with regulations Perform and manage export audits on a regular basis Maintain centralized, automated import/export database, assist with the automation of manual functions and act as main team liaison with IT department on any systems and software issues Manage import/export software contracts and software providers; conduct regularly scheduled product /vendor reviews; drive efficiencies and scaling for growth Manage AES filing reports, AES error resolutions, Sch. B/HTS conversions and manage related software enhancements Support team analytics for monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reporting QUALIFICATIONS This position is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan BS or BA degree is required; a degree in international business, logistics or supply chain is preferred Subject matter expertise and demonstrated work experience in trade compliance within the high technology industry is preferred Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as an ability to work with cross-cultural teams is required Experience with SAP automated import/export compliance software systems, AES system and Denied Party screening software Demonstrated ability managing software enhancements, driving IT projects and managing 3rd party software vendors is required Experience developing, analyzing and presenting import/export data is required Strong self-starter capable of managing complex issues that require strong analysis and decision-making skill Proven ability to solve problems, multi-task and remain organized MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BS or BA degree is required; a degree in international business, logistics or supply chain is preferred Subject matter expertise and demonstrated work experience in trade
