The Cell Applications Engineer - High Voltage Battery System (HVBS) is responsible for developing advanced automotive battery cells for hybrid and electric vehicle applications. Responsibilities include:
- Managing lithium ion cell product development for the FCA portfolio of hybrid and electric vehicles from specifications to production
- Being the Point of Contact between FCA and Tier 1 lithium ion cell manufactures for production programs
- Planning and executing cell product development with tier 1 suppliers including DFMEA, DVP&R and supporting PPAP
- Managing battery life modeling and prediction
- Conducting production assessments of lithium ion battery manufacturing facilities
- Being a member of cross function team supporting battery pack design and release engineering
