Selected candidate will be responsible to support High Voltage Battery System (HVBS) Benchmark activity for Ideas generation & Cost Engineering.   • Description:The Value Optimization Engineer will support High Voltage Battery System (HVBS) Benchmark activity for Ideas generation & Cost Engineering. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Lead design review meetings with Tier 1 suppliers Oversees all supplier technical engineering and development activities Insure the VO changes for the battery & components are designed to and meet performance through systems analysis/ validation to requirements Develop program High Voltage Battery System (HVBS) concepts that satisfy vehicle level functional objectives Consult ePT HVBS packaging activities with advanced concept engineering team Execute programs through PDP that meet or exceed objectives for performance, cost, weight, investment, and quality Execute design for manufacturing process and coordinate assembly process with manufacturing engineering Develop and execute energy storage system DFMEA for HVBS hardware Provide program deliverables on time per major development milestones Coordinate HVBS change management (CCD, CN, IAA, PER) Execute standardization plans and reuse of validated subcomponent Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Requirements:- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in automotive and related industries- Prior experience in engineering cost reduction.- Prior experience overseeing supplier technical engineering and development activities - High Voltage Battery System experience- Experience with HV Battery Architecture and hardware- Experience in the full product life cyclePreferred Requirements:
