The candidate will manage and support the Telematics ECU development / deployment activities from the requirements definition to the end of life and will supervise Telematics HW release engineers. The candidate will manage the design release engineers in their activities which include:
- Support the architecture team in their design activities
- Lead the technical specifications definition and support the sourcing process to apply the connectivity components to new vehicle projects
- Manage the technical reviews with the supplier, identifying and resolving issue and conflicts in the specifications
- Manage the supplier during the project execution
- Monitor and coordinate the supplier during the development phase
- Identify and manage the deviations and the corrective actions
- Define and manage the "component" application development plan, according to vehicle milestones
- Support the testing team in the test cases and test plan definition
- Manage the requirements evolution and the Change Process
- Lead the supplier in the defects analysis
- Coordinate the supplier in the defect resolution
- Lead Quality issue resolution
- Coordinate the certification/documentation activities for regulatory features and Compliance Procedures, supporting the Homologation tasks
- Prepare project progress reports and support their presentation to the management
- Manage and support the post launch activities, the continuous improvement releases and the maintenance phase
