One of the world's largest automotive manufacturers is searching for a
Desktop Support Specialist to join their Client Services team in Auburn Hills, MI. This role is responsible for hands-on installs, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC) as well as technical hardware support in a Windows environment. The ideal applicant will have strong communication skills and workstation support experience. This opportunity to support the technological backbone of a world-renowned brand begins on an ongoing, W2 contract with the opportunity for conversion to direct employment.Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive IT infrastructure within the Microsoft Windows environment
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems via remote operation and in person
- Install hardware components, peripherals, and additional software manually and via the deployment console
- Manage user request tickets for technical support
- Maintain program security and integrity through deployment and continuation of antivirus and encryption protocols
- Steward user data through backups and restorations
- Perform occasional configuration of Mac equipment
- Associate's degree required in Information Systems or similar; Bachelor's preferred
- 3-5 years of experience providing enterprise desktop/deskside support
- CompTIA Network+/A+ strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of Microsoft environments and networks including Active Directory, Servers, Operating Systems, Business Software, and Enterprise Anti-Virus
- Knowledge of Citrix IT support programs/platforms and ticketing systems
- Basic network troubleshooting abilities with components such as TCP/IP, switching, routing, DNS, wireless, etc
- Excellent communication and people skills
