- Oversee and maintain HR/ER Policies
- Advising and counseling operating management and employees (where appropriate) in problem solving and dispute resolution
- Interpreting and administering national and local collective bargaining agreements, advancing the company’s interest and monitoring adherence to labor agreements.
- Primary responder to 1 step grievance handling and resolution
- Provide support to floor level management and Union Officials to resolve
- Counseling and coaching employees as well as supervisors on the conduct of investigations as needed
- Provide support to operating management on issuing attendance and policy discipline
- 3-5 years’ labor management and employee relations experience in both union and non-union environments
- Human Resources Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience working collaboratively in a matrix environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of employment laws, rules and regulations
- Very good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; must be able to make effective presentations, to negotiate, to listen, and to influence
- Delivers to all stakeholders in a professional and approachable style
- Self-aware and highly sensitive to key elements affecting culture and employee morale
- High energy, passion with a strong work ethic and collaborative style
- Customer orientation and problem solver
