Role Summary: The IT Quality Specialist acts as a key contact for the Group Quality domain area and leads solution development and implementations in this domain area. The area of responsibility includes IT solutions for Group Quality Operations, Brand Warranty, Product Support and Quality Technical Service. The Quality Specialist acts as the partner to Quality business owners for process and IT innovation, insuring alignment of strategic plans, and the development of the IT and process improvement portfolio. This position develops and maintains effective working relations with business owners within the Quality organization. Successfully leads small to medium sized projects, delivering on time, within budget and with high quality. Under the direction of the PIM- Brand Aftersales and Quality, the Quality Specialist will additionally support larger scale projects within Domain area.

Role Responsibilities: Main responsibility - 75% of time spent
  • The Quality Specialist collaborates with business owners to develop a project portfolio and supports the alignment and prioritization of the portfolios across the VWGoA organization.
  • The position leads delivery of projects within their respective portfolio and is responsible for quality performance (on-time, within budget and scope) in delivery.
  • The role responsible for customer satisfaction within their assigned business area/process field and should collaborate with business owners to develop strategic plans and encourage innovation.
  • In additional, the Quality Specialist should successfully perform the following:
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of business strategies and processes, and their associated applications
Additional responsibilities - 25% of time
  • Study and analyze key business operations in terms of processes/functions, information, technology and organization to drive innovation within business processes and supporting technologies.
  • Maintain process knowledge over the respective processes and its dependencies to the whole process chain
  • Ensure data privacy and data compliance.

Qualifications:

Years of Experience:
  • 7-10 years IT industry experience
  • 5-7 years' experience in IT project execution
  • 3-5 year project or program leadership role

Education - Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related Business experience

Education - Desired:
  • Master's Degree (MBA/MS)

Skills:
  • Business process improvement experience, utilizing tools and processed to effect positive business change
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with all management levels
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Technology savvy - skilled and comfortable in the use of modern technology in a business environment.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking - ability to explain to an audience in simpler terms
  • Communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written

Specialized Skills:

Required:
  • Business facing experience that includes working closely in the development and implementation of mid-size scale projects
  • Program management including strategic thinking and demonstrated competency in developing solutions to complex business problems.
  • Strong program management skills; experience in organizing, planning, and executing large scale projects involving internal personnel, contractors and vendors
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business
  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall methodologies

Work Flexibility:
