The team is seeking someone with product owner experience to fulfill the role of Technical Product Owner for the design and development of connected services features and/or system enablers. The ideal candidate is a systems-thinking person who is excited about trending connected vehicle technologies and the ways they are leveraged to capture and delight customers. They will thrive in an environment of innovation that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. This individual should have a passion for understanding and defining the needs and behaviors of customers, and for working with other product owners and key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into exceptional feature definitions that serve the needs of the users. In this role, your products are the features and enablers that make up the connected services platform. Your goal is to define features and enablers in a scalable and flexible way that support FCA's current and future connected services. If you are excited about the evolution and proliferation of connected vehicles and apps that bring daily significance, then this job is for you. Primary Responsibilities:
  • As Technical Product Owner, drive execution for specific feature functionality from product definition and planning through production, release, and end-of-life
  • Support feature design and development and articulate the vision and mission of the product roadmap, including implementation and prioritization
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop user stories and requirements while evaluating their potential and practicality by analyzing component consumer needs
  • Generate and manage the list of work to be completed by the development team. This involves writing product backlog items along with acceptance criteria, and ordering them to achieve the product vision
  • Serve as the central resource with design, process, test, and quality as the feature moves to production
  • Act as user champion when coordinating product development with business stakeholders and align all development activities with business goals and priorities
  • Manage the product backlog (prioritization and refinement), working with the development teams to clarify requirements balancing business needs with technical requirements
  • Support evaluation of off-the-shelf products to ensure they meet the business needs
  • Determine the appropriate product Release Date and Content
  • Create and maintain communications regarding vision and progress like a product roadmap and release plan
  • Create contractual project related documentation like a requirements specification or statement of work
  • Provide regular reporting including scope, schedule, and planning
  • Take lead on issue resolution for systems in operation
  • Maintain a basic knowledge of software development and the industry for the particular component
