(Onsite from day 1)Duration- 6+ Months Contract with possible extension

Expected Skills: Wintel L3
  • Minimum of 6-8 years administration experience on Microsoft Windows platform.
  • Excellent hands on experience on Windows Platform with 2019/2016/2012/2008/2003/2000 operating systems.
  • Good knowledge on management and troubleshooting of Virtualization platform based on VMWare.
  • Good experience in Mid-range/Enterprise Servers Hardware IBM, HP & Dell Hardware
  • Strong knowledge and Hand-on Experience in Managing and troubleshooting Windows Failover and NLB clusters.
  • Strong knowledge on vSphere 5.5/ 6/ 6.5 administration. Managing and Troubleshooting ESXi Servers
  • Strong knowledge about user administration and File system management activities.
  • Excellent experience in OS Hardening, performance, and OS tuning.
  • Strong Knowledge on Microsoft KMS (Key Management Server)
  • Excellent experience in Terminal servers (Admin mode), File/Print Servers, WSUS etc.
  • Good knowledge on Virtual Machine management
  • Good Knowledge on VMware management tools - VCOPS/SRM/VUM-Update Manager
  • P2V migrations using tools
  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience on Installing, Configuring & Troubleshooting Hyper-V infra
  • Good troubleshooting experience on Windows Hyper-V clustering issues.
  • Good understanding and knowledge on Hyper-V Networking & Clustering.
  • Strong experience in P2V & Live migrations.
  • Good knowledge on firmware & BIOS upgrade on Blades/Chassis/Rack - HP, Cisco UCS and Hitachi
  • Fair knowledge and working experience in SCVMM-2012/2016 & 2019
  • Monitoring of logs and alerts / Patch management for Wintel & VMware infra
  • Fair Knowledge in Active directory, DNS, DHCP
  • Fair knowledge on scripting
  • Basic Knowledge on backup solutions VERITAS, NetBackup, IBM TSM, HP DP or EMC Networker (At least one).
  • Basic knowledge on Storage and SAN switches.
  • Ability to acquire new skills & keep them updated
  • Should be able to do Capacity Planning
  • Should be able to Perform Root Cause Analysis for the incidents
  • Respond to and resolve Incidents, Problems, Service Requests, and change requests while adhering to customer guidelines and policies
  • Perform installations, configurations, testing, troubleshooting, migrations, relocations, and decommissions activities.
  • Coordinate with third parties for hardware replacements, firmware upgrade.
  • Define and document maintenance plan
  • Administer and manage operations activities, including creating, enhancing and managing automation.
  • Validate that best practices, company standards are being followed
  • Provide recovery assistance for applications
  • Create and coordinate third party and OEM cases
  • Patch management, RCA analysis, Application installs and upgrades following procedures documented by application owners Meeting SLA in time to fix the errors and problems.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis for the incidents.

Qualification:

Role/Team Summary (L1 / L2 / L3): L3
  • Drive & resolve all Incidents, Problems, Service Requests and Change Requests while adhering to customer guidelines and policies.
  • Perform installations, configurations, testing, troubleshooting, migrations, relocations, and decommissions activities.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by responding to all customer filed issues and providing relief by driving visibility of the issues upstream to ensure they get fixed.
  • Improve product supportability and serviceability by actively participating in new design development to provide feedback to drive increased stability of the environment for enhanced customer satisfaction.
  • Define and document maintenance plan & provide on-site support at data centre for infrastructure maintenance activities when required.
  • Engage and co-ordinate with OEM & third parties for hardware replacements, firmware upgrade.
  • Administer and manage operations activities by creating, enhancing, and managing automation wherever applicable & validate that best practices & company standards are being followed.
  • Provide recovery assistance for applications.
  • Patch management, RCA analysis, Application installs and upgrades following procedures documented by application owners. Meeting SLA in time to fix the errors and problems.
  • Good communication & documentation skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly. Good time management skills & ability to work in 24x7 environment in shift roster and attend calls when assigned.
Additional Qualification / Skills:
  • Good Knowledge on AWS Cloud.
  • Strong Knowledge on Monitoring tools is an added advantage.
  • Microsoft Windows certification is an added advantage.
