Summary of the ECU Systems Engineering Supervisor:Our client, a developer of advanced vehicle technologies, is looking for an Electrical Systems Engineer Supervisor to join their growing team. In this position, you'll be the lead team member overseeing the development of requirements and specs for next-generation chassis electronics. This will involve work with both hardware and software teams, as you'll take projects through the full development life-cycle. This a growing R&D group working on BLEEDING EDGE technology. You will be part of a team developing electronic-controlled automobile chassis systems. The company has a start-up type environment without the risk, as it has solid funding from a major parent organization. Everything from concept through production will be in your domain. Your contribution is only limited by your skill sets and passion.

Responsibilities of the ECU Systems Engineering Supervisor:
  • Specification development for programs
  • Breaking down specs into executable designs
  • Coordination of software execution of projects (within AUTOSAR standards)
  • Coordination of hardware and software integration efforts
  • Oversight of product validation
  • Assessment of system and / or component design to requirements through DFMEA's, Design Verification and Validation testing.

Qualifications of the ECU Systems Engineering Supervisor:
  • BSEE (or BSCE) with 6+ years of experience in electrical/electronic product development.
  • Experience overseeing/supervising engineering teams.
  • Experience managing customer technical requirements through tools, making trade-offs to optimize system architecture, translating vehicle level requirements into system requirements, and coordinating hardware/software development efforts.
  • Background working on embedded software / firmware projects as a systems engineer, including scheduling, managing priorities, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of controls, electronic hardware, sensors, and motors
  • Knowledge of standards such as ASPICE, ISO-26262, and/or AUTOSAR
  • Experience in an Agile environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of the following is also preferred:
    • SysML tools
    • Cybersecurity standards and processes
    • Vehicle chassis sub-systems and components
  • Excellent communication skills
