The ADAS Validation Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures for autonomous driving vehicles.
The ADAS facility engineer responsibilities will include:- Setting up test equipment for vehicles to test in autonomous mode.
- Prepping/running robotic vehicles for pretest, during tests, and then post test via ADAS control room.
- Setting up 'props' for all test scenarios (signs, pedestrians, motorcycles, etc). Includes laying down pre-defined lane markings using a paint striping machine.
- Importing/exporting pre-defined traffic test scenarios into Mobius software package (control package for robotic vehicle control) Continuing development of Mobius software with supplier (ASI) to accommodate future test scenarios. Troubleshooting robotic control software (Mobius) and host software.
- The use of CAN tools and traditional electrical equipment to test and troubleshoot vehicle systems.
- Collecting test logs and documenting test results.
- Root cause analysis of complex electromechanical systems Supporting ADAS testing for other Stellantis teams Physical driving of test vehicles Maintaining test inventory in the ADAS stockroom Embracing team atmosphere and be prepared to deal with a wide variety of challenges.
