Position Description: The Data and Analytics group is developing a Customer Analytics Platform utilizing multiple technologies like Hadoop, Data Stage, Quality Stage, Java EE and MDM. Over the next several years this Application Platform will be developed globally for markets in Europe, South America and IMG markets. This is a senior position to support the development of the Customer Analytics Platform and related projects

Job Description:
  • The developer will develop using Hadoop/ETL/DataStage
  • Understand the strategic direction as it relates to project goals and design global solution that aligns with project goals
  • Understand and participate in designing information workflows
  • Perform in-depth data analysis, data profiling and modelling of the data
  • Design and Develop Hadoop/ETL workflows to satisfy the requirements and designed solution.
  • Provide technical expertise on ETL design, Data modeling, Data Warehousing, and Data integration Partner with Business Intelligence and business operational teams to understand data sources and implement new requirements
  • Work closely with product owners,product managers, analysts and the existing ETL design and developers to understand project requirements and contribute to the project solution
  • Perform unit, functional and integration testing of developed solution and responsible for the clean deployments into production
  • Responsible for maintaining the production system and troubleshoot and provide solutions to the production issues
  • Provide support to other team members
  • Support integration efforts of systems and data through application consolidation / migration / conversion, application integration, and data integration

Skills Required:
  • 5+ years IBM DataStage development in an environment where candidate had ADMIN privs in DataStage. Candidate's resume MUST demonstrate that candidate utilized DataStage for recent projects (i.e. cannot just list DataStage in skill area of resume)
  • 3+ years of Hadoop design and development experience
  • Experience processing data from SQL Server and DB2 databases.
  • Must be proficient in writing complex SQL statements

Education Required:
  • B.S. Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the requested field
