This position requires:Experience of end-to-end Hadoop using MapReduce, Hive, Sqoop, Oozie, HBase, and SparkExpertise in analyzing, articulating, and solving various problemsDevelopment and improvement of CI/CD pipelines using Java and GradleDesigning innovative tools in Jenkins that automates deployment processesExperience in core Java development, designing common services and adding new functionality to existing codeDeveloping build tools that allow for Nexus and Maven to be integrated in Jenkins pipelineWriting advanced SQL queries to retrieve and import dataSkilled in Sqoop to import and export data between HDFSExperience with Hadoop, Oozie, Hive and Spark to be able to troubleshoot and resolve software issuesAdjust MapReduce and Hive design parameters to boost performance of jobs and incorporate new featuresCreating Hive external tables with partitions to store on HDFS and data can be processed by MapReduceDesigning schedule and data driven workflows using OozieExpertise in GitHub and IntelliJ for version control and collaborationAbility to utilize new tools and enhance software functionalitiesSupporting services in the development stage with system design consultingResponsibility of maintaining services once live performing troubleshooting, diagnostics, and analysisAbility to troubleshoot oozie production failed jobs using web consoles and AmbariAbility and patience to test code and work with developers to resolve issues Skills Required:Experience in end to end HadoopStrong SQL skillsStrong in Java and/or pyspark Education Required: B.S.
