  • Within SCA-V (Single Complete Actionable Vehicle), a phenomenal opportunity awaits on a team that is responsible for driving connected vehicle strategy by managing global data streams that integrate with internal systems shaping the future of vehicles.
  • The software engineer role is critical in ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Experience of end-to-end Hadoop using MapReduce, Hive, Sqoop, Oozie, HBase, and Spark
  • Expertise in analyzing, articulating, and solving various problems
  • Development and improvement of CI/CD pipelines using Java and Gradle.
  • Designing innovative tools in Jenkins that automates deployment processes
  • Experience in core Java development, designing common services and adding new functionality to existing code
  • Developing build tools that allow for Nexus and Maven to be integrated in Jenkins pipeline
  • Writing advanced SQL queries to retrieve and import data
  • Skilled in Sqoop to import and export data between HDFS
  • Experience with Hadoop, Oozie, Hive and Spark to be able to troubleshoot and resolve software issues
  • Adjust MapReduce and Hive design parameters to boost performance of jobs and incorporate new features
  • Creating Hive external tables with partitions to store on HDFS and data can be processed by MapReduce
  • Designing schedule and data driven workflows using Oozie
  • Expertise in GitHub and IntelliJ for version control and collaboration
  • Ability to utilize new tools and enhance software functionalities
  • Supporting services in the development stage with system design consulting
  • Responsibility of maintaining services once live performing troubleshooting, diagnostics, and analysis
  • Ability to troubleshoot oozie production failed jobs using web consoles and Ambari
  • Ability and patience to test code and work with developers to resolve issues
Skills Required:
  • Experience in end-to-end Hadoop
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Strong in Java and/or pyspark
Education Required:
  • B.S. Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the requested field
