Role: Manufacturing IT Engineer Location: Dearborn, MI Job Description: Working knowledge of Linux is a must Working knowledge of Python, SQL, DBMS, WebSphere and DB2 a plus Working knowledge of Cloud framework Implementations including Containers Exposure to Vision System applications is a plus Understanding of systems architecture concepts Experience in supplier management Experience in analyzing business systems architecture Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization Experience working independently as well as on a team. BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience Responsibilities: Become knowledgeable in Plant/MFG Quality process, tools & methods Implement and support the integration with COTS application in Manufacturing Administer Linux servers to support COTS application Setup/Support the Apple iOS edge devices for the COTS application Move from hardware to Container env Work with IIOT teams to setup message brokers in various plants Work with cross-functional teams for edge device issue resolution Support Manufacturing IT products, vendors, and business customers Maintain and manage a backlog of user stories Identify and prioritize all product team deliverables and work on the backlog Review support/defect efforts and prioritize in backlog
