If you have a passion for taking transportation where it’s never been before, consider joining our visionary team.As a Product Owner of HMI Development within Ford, you will be part of the software development organization and have the responsibility of leading complex engineering projects that manages software development and/or infotainment/Driver Information product release expertise. In this role, you will lead a team developing our next generation Infotainment or Driver Information user interfaces from conception to system release. Our domain controller systems must be equipped to handle the use cases of today and those of tomorrow.What you’ll be able to do:Provides technical feasibility / solutions on HMI specifications
Evaluates incoming feature requests and identify future resource needs based on these requests
Ensures teams are aware of key project deliveries
Quantifies feature release quality by evaluating projected software defect rate, number of open defects, etc.
The minimum requirements we seek:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of experience developing HMIs / User Interfaces.
2+years of experience designing and releasing of software products.
Our preferred qualifications:Prior software development experience in QT/QML or Unreal Engine.
Prior experience with C/C or Python.
Prior experience with Photoshop, InVision, and Sketch.
Familiarity with technical implementation details of Radio, Cluster, Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Voice, CAN, and /or Navigation features within a vehicle.
