Position Description:Responsible for operational administration and protection of global enterprise solutions to meet the Virtualization Server Hosting requirements for a variety of VMware infrastructure systems, line of business, and third-party application needsSupport the installation and administration of virtualization (VMware) suite of productsResponsible for infrastructure security vulnerability patching, planning, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning of hardware and softwareTest and document procedures and processProvide consulting services to OS support teams and application teams as the need arises for performance review and production outage root cause analysisTroubleshoot infrastructure product/production issues including vendor support engagementsSupport server operations projectsParticipate in L1 - L3 level supportSupport VMware server platform testingSupport HPE Synergy/ProLiant iLO and firmware field testingSupport the development of Operational DocumentationDevelop automation for day-2 operations in support of VMware server compute infrastructure - Occasional after-hours and weekend work Skills Required:Critical thinking and problem solvingTeamwork and collaborationOral and written communications skills Skills Preferred:Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of hardware and software products
