Telematics Validation Engineer

Description: STG is a Preferred Vendor of a major Automotive Firm in Dearborn, MI. The client is actively looking for multiple Telematics Validation Engineers. Selected candidate will be responsible to work with the latest Connected Vehicle technologies to test the end-to-end in-vehicle customer experience in data, smartphones, and web services.STG puts company CULTURE at the forefront of every business decision and employees are EMPOWERED and MEASURED for RESULTS. These positions are based in Dearborn, MI for a large Fortune 500 Automotive firm.

STG will provide immigration and permanent residency sponsorship assistance to those candidates who need it.

Position Description:
  • Develop/maintain/execute end-to-end feature technical specifications and test plans to ensure great customer experience, compliance to legal requirements and high-quality standards, coordinate test activities, and report results.
  • Design a test plan that guarantees full coverage of happy path and corner-case scenarios for all features under the verification lead's responsibility.
  • Work closely with Product Owner, Product Managers, Mobile App, in-vehicle, Multi-Module Over the Air Update (MMOTA), and cloud SW development teams to ensure test suites are accurate and reflect the most up-to-date feature design requirement.
  • Track change requests at all Ford's connected feature's system levels and modifies the test requirements accordingly.
  • Set up and maintain a complicated testing ecosystem that resembles the actual E2E system that Ford's customers will use. Provide accurate reporting on SW and CF features status using a complex set of metrics.
  • Deliver effective verification metrics of the responsible feature(s) and promote timely awareness of key blocking items.
  • Ensure ownership of feature defect creation, management, and resolution with clear & consistent engineering & communication practices.
  • Work with the Automation team to create scripts that will provide high-quality results and expedite the verification process.

Experience Required:
  • 0-3 years of experience in Design Verification in Developing and managing all Test Assets (Test Plans, Test Cases, automated and manual Test Scripts)
  • 0-3 years of experience in testing methodologies, Embedded Systems testing tools, lab, and in-vehicle testing.
  • 0-3 years of experience with Telematics/ Infotainment background and Mobile App verification.
  • 0-3 years of experience with CANoe/CANalyzer simulation & Vehicle Spy Tool

Experience Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Control Modules and Automotive Embedded Systems.
  • Working knowledge of testing and defect management tools e.g., JIRA, Test Rail, SP
  • Testing experience in Web services
  • Working knowledge with IT Development skills and Test experience in Python, C/C, JAVA, HTTP, and MQTT
