We are seeking a high performing Analytical Lead (AL) for the Small Medium Business segment, who is passionate about data and believe in its power to shape business strategy and drive tactical outcomes at scale.Analytical Leads are creative, energized by collaboration, and continually raising the bar of analytical excellence. As an Analytical Lead, this person will possess and deploy a strong understanding of various technical disciplines and capabilities necessary to meet the needs of our large customer base, with an emphasis on statistical and inferential approach that will test hypothesis and answer strategic questions in the advertising ecosystem, such as incrementality of advertisement, user behavior between online and offline, impact from macro-economic enviornment and nuances in the industry of our customers.This person will have great opportunities to collaborate with the Data Science team in the org, develop scalable data models and solutions to empower sales and customers in the Small Medium Business segment, connecting client-facing analytical needs and the data science horsepower in the Market Sciences team.Microsoft Advertising empowers advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through multiple channel offerings including paid search, native, display, gaming, and video. Data and Analytical Insights Expert: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the data available within the Microsoft Advertising product stack and curate across internal and external sources to produce sophisticated and impactful analyses. Develop and manage analyses and algorithms that generate actionable insights and programs to improve Microsoft Ads demand generation activities. Develop new predictive and prescriptive models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques with a goal of scaling solutions. Partner with sales to build comprehensive and compelling data stories, and empower both direct and indirect client engagements.

Business Leader: Work with key business stakeholders to understand the underlying business needs and formulate the needs into discrete, manageable problems with well-defined measurable objectives and outcomes.Influence stakeholders to make product/service improvements that yield customer/business value by effectively making compelling cases through storytelling, visualizations, and other influencing tools. Identify and analyze the applicability and scalability of innovative data science methods and algorithms to create/test solutions that deliver value to customer and business.

Fluent advocate of Microsoft Advertising and the One Microsoft Story: Understand Microsoft Advertising’s new and incubating digital marketing solutions like MSAN and build the analytical case for clients to adopt. Draw connections to Microsoft’s relevant cloud offerings and paint a broader value proposition for clients to reach their business goals.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experiencein a quantitative area such as statistics, data science, economics, math, machine learning, computer science, engineering, or related fields.

2+ years experience utilizing analytical tools to turn massive, dynamic datasets into actionable insights

2+ years experience in at least two of the following data analysis and visualization tools: Python, R, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, DAX, PowerPivot.

Experience utilizing analytical tools to turn massive, dynamic datasets into actionable insights.

Strong ability to communicate complex analyses to a mix of both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proficiency and experience in at least two ofthe following data analysis and visualization tools: Python, R, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, DAX, PowerPivot.

Working knowledge in at least three of the following areas:data mining, predictive modeling, economic modeling, causal inference, statistics, data clustering, classification, measurement. 2+ years of practical experience; 4+ years preferred.

Infectious sense of enthusiasm, fun, and imagination to contribute to high-performing team culture.

Comfort working in an agile environment and thriving amid ambiguity.

Ability to travel 25% (air travel may be required), as appropriate.
