  • Software Asset Management experience or related including software contract management, software audit, account management, program management and negotiation?
  • Experience utilizing ServiceNow to perform IT Asset Management functions?
  • Experience working with engineering teams and other cross-functional stakeholders spanning all organizational levels?
  • Experience with process/system mapping and analysis?
  • Ability to build subject matter expertise in a short period?
  • Innate curiosity and are always asking why and looking for a better way?
  • Comfort being a proactive self-learner who enjoys teaching themselves new technology to increase their ability to impact the organization positively?
  • Excellent organizational, communication, research, and customer service skills?
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and escalate issues promptly where appropriate?

?Job Summary?Rock Central Detroit is looking for driven and creative Associate Program Manager for Software Licensing and Asset Management to assist with software asset management efforts. The Associate Program Manager works with the Software Licensing and Asset Management group to oversee the lifecycle of software assets. They work cross-functionally with enterprise strategy, legal, information security, client relations, procurement, engineering, support desk and technology leadership.?

They collaborate to research software options, provide strategic recommendations on tools, vendors, licensing models, provision and deprovision licenses and manage 3rd party software compliance audits. In addition, they utilize data analysis and programming routines to build automation and processes to optimize license deployments over multiple subsidiary organizations. This team member limits business and legal risk and reduces costs while supporting operations, driving key business decisions, and influencing business results. Their ultimate goal is to optimize data-driven decision-making for the organization and drive productivity for all of our team members. This team member is a master communicator, tactful facilitator, and creative problem solver.Responsibilities?
  • Review and fulfill software requests to ensure products meet business needs while overseeing programmatic compliance with associated software licenses/other agreements, contractual terms, and policies
  • Coordinate and execute contract renewals, true-ups, and other software asset management processes and due diligence efforts with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely deliverables, including securing required approvals and maintaining records as appropriate
  • Using data analysis, work with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop strategic plans to identify ways to improve contract position, reduce costs, reduce risk, improve processes, deploy training, and drive license optimization
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure deployed software aligns with licensing models and quantities purchased
  • Drive the execution of program plans across cross-functional teams, monitor risks, take appropriate action to address challenges and provide regular updates to key stakeholders
  • Develop and promote frameworks and best practices around software asset management to be utilized as a part of the organization?s software asset lifecycle
  • Effectively manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Develop performance dashboard and metrics for regular reporting to all levels of the organization on program status and performance?
  • Communicate software spend forecasting, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership
