Preferred Qualifications?
  • 3 years of experience in front-end development building large-scale web applications
  • Strong Javascript expertise and experience in modern UI frameworks (e.g., React/Redux, ES6)
  • Extensive knowledge of the DOM, HTTP, CSS3 (e.g., Flexbox, Grid) and core web technology concepts
  • Strong communication skills when talking about technical concepts
Job SummaryThe Front-End Developer develops, improves, tests and/or maintains software that builds the technical foundation of a simple, easy, and fast experience for buying or selling a home. The Front-End Development team collaborates with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ship impactful products.

Responsibilities
  • Build web applications using the latest web technologies (such as React.js/Redux, CSS, Javascript) based on user needs
  • Investigate specific client-side areas, like performance, cross-browser compatibility, animations and accessibility
  • Practice disciplined software engineering (automated testing, code reviews and writing readable code)
  • Tune web applications to be high-performing, intuitive and functional through experimentation and data analysis
  • Iterate on solutions and new practices for improving the SEO of our products
  • Participate in and actively contribute to solution design exercises
  • Assist the team with understanding and defining delivery estimates
