- You will be responsible for the management and administration of the operations of the O&M Engineering Group.
- You will lead and motivate a diverse workforce and ensure the effective management of all assigned staff; this includes the management of daily assignments.
- You will develop, recommend and administer the annual operating and capital budgets for the O&M Engineering unit to ensure expenditures are controlled, maintained, and approved.
- You will ensure compliance with all corporate and legislative requirements to meet operational, environmental, health, and safety standards, and ensure effectiveness and compliance of maintenance and operations.
- You and your team will engage operations and maintenance staff daily to help resolve challenges, replace assets, perform engineering assessment, management, and design functions related to the operations and maintenance of the wastewater facilities.
- As the Manager of the O&M Engineering Group, you will liaise with the Director of Engineering to ensure operational and maintenance concerns are addressed for the large capital improvement projects that will be delivered under the Director of Engineering.
- As a liaison, the O&M Engineering Manager and their team will play key roles in plan reviews, asset onboarding, and O&M reviews of CIP projects in design and construction.
- The O&M Engineering Group will also work on asset commissioning with the O&M Team during construction to ensure a smooth transition and ability to support the assets in O&M afterward.
- You will lead the team to develop and meet critical metrics, manage the execution of O&M projects through internal (engineering) execution of work, and external (engineering/construction) execution of work necessary to resolve O&M-related issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Five years of recent project management with progressing roles of managing a team to deliver projects from design through construction
- The ideal candidate may possess specific experience in the management of an engineering team
- The ideal candidate may possess operations, startup, maintenance, or commissioning experience with CSO facilities, pump stations, or wastewater treatment plants, and may also possess wastewater operations licenses (A, B, C, or D)
- Has performed water or wastewater projects through design/construction phases
- Possess experience in the field with wastewater or water equipment troubleshooting, or startup, or commissioning, or other related experience
- Experience with analyzing and making conclusions or recommendations regarding wastewater treatment-related data, flow data, level data, or process-related data
- Possess excellent computer, and MS Office suite skills
- Basic Geographical Information Systems (GIS) experience
