Overview: The Senior Agile Project Manager provides direction and oversight to technical project teams to design, develop, and deploy agile infrastructure, Azure & AWS solutions that meet applicable business requirements. This individual may lead a single complex project or a group of smaller, unrelated projects including supporting technical teams.

Responsibilities include all areas of project management including project schedule, costs, resource utilization, deliverable quality, and risk/issue resolution. He/she will also manage the project team and supporting technical teams, which may include employee and/or vendor team members.

He/she will serve as the project lead and Scrum Master working with Business Partners, Product Owners, other IT groups, and vendor partners and will communicate scope, progress, and issues/risks to stakeholders at various levels.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver agile infrastructure technology solutions that accomplish the business objectives with on-time delivery, budget adherence, and exceptional quality
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, senior management and executive leadership to solidify project objectives and scope
  • Define the agile project schedule and resourcing needed to cost effectively accomplish project objectives
  • Facilitate project lifecycle activities from initiation to closure
  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies, stand up meetings, backlog grooming, retrospectives and story mapping
  • Lead project tasks include estimating, planning, resourcing, budgeting, development, quality assurance, deployment, and post-production support
  • Allocate and direct staff to accomplish project tasks ensuring effective utilization
  • Manage financials closely to achieve the planned project budget. Monitor & updates monthly actuals & future forecasts; develop new/revised estimates as applicable
  • Define and execute communication cadence to keep both IT and business stakeholders fully informed
  • Identify and manage project risks/issues to closure and provide proper visibility to senior management
  • Support the business and infrastructure technology areas in defining plans to ensure organization acceptance of the new solution
  • Support procurement processing of Statements of Work & Purchase Orders. Process all contract-related artifacts & invoices
  • Create project governance artifacts for reviews (tollgates/change requests) and ensure adherence to all PMO guidelines & procedures and software development lifecycle methodology
  • Comply with Change Management, Release Management, IT Risk & Compliance processes and standards

Qualifications
  • BS and 7+ years of experience or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in at least one of the follow technologies or equivalent: Red Hat - OpenShift, AWS, Azure, Ansible, Windows/Linux, Solaris, Confluence, JIRA, Slack, EMC - Exadata, Oracle RAC, Akamai, Splunk, F5, Citrix, Microsoft O365, Aternity, Utelogy, and/or call center software deployment
  • Ability to work autonomously, solving complex problems in an ambiguous environment
  • Business acumen and understanding of technical drivers and issues surrounding execution of a project
  • Extensive breadth of experience delivering complex technical projects within budget and scope
  • Expert knowledge of Agile software and infrastructure delivery and Project Management methodologies, such as SCRUM, Kanban and IA methodologies
  • Extensive experience with Agile tools, specifically JIRA, Kanban boards, PowerBI, Confluence, Slack, MS Project, Clarity, Teams, SharePoint and other collaboration applications
  • Superior interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Financial forecasting and management acumen
  • Work with outside vendors, understand and review license agreements and statements of work
  • Ability to negotiate and build consensus with various stakeholder groups
  • Resource planning and management acumen
  • Strong issue resolution and risk management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with executive management and presentation skills
  • Experience with ITIL practices using ServiceNow, ITSM practices, ETL
