Job SummaryRocket Homes is on a mission to transform the real estate industry, and the Enterprise Architecture team is looking for a Solution Architect to help lead the charge. The Solution Architect works in a cohesive team that promotes the culture of "problem-solving." The Solution Architect leverages their leadership skills and communication skills to engage with designated teams in this role. They use analysis, design, and technical skills paired with passion, creativity, and innovation to design affordable, scalable, and sustainable solutions. These solutions center around business process automation, enterprise application integration, and performance optimization that provides a world-class experience to team members, partners, and clients while bringing our mission to life.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in establishing and deploying architecture practice, and the adoption of an architecture and standards methodology
  • Directly assist in the development of architecture roadmap, practice and enterprise-level, application/system level, and solution level architecture
  • Support the architectural aspects of all application projects in peer IT portfolios
  • Manage activities that take place during solution ideation, solution design, and solution implementation
  • Review business ideas and the relationship between the business ideas and the company's vision and missions?
  • Identify problems that need to be resolved behind business ideas, define the business context for the problem, recommend potential solution options (which may include RFIs, RFPs, or prototype development), select the most optimal solution, and craft the development of a roadmap for the chosen solution
  • Champion a structured approach to business architecture
  • Communicate the architecture to the stakeholders and collaborate and coordinate with existing domain owners in the formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures
  • Assure solutions not only are a fit for the specific purpose but also closely align with enterprise concerns like security, compliance, performance, business continuity, disaster recovery, and other technology standard guidance
  • Direct the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership
  • Develop and execute solutions that further reduce the percentage of time spent on reactive work
