Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, applied statistics, information technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Some experience in leadership, administration of projects or experience in mentoring peers
  • 3 years of experience performing data/statistical analysis and building recommendations based on findings
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor peers through complex problems
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to apply a scientific approach to answering questions and solving problems
  • Demonstrated ability in data storytelling
  • Working knowledge of standard statistical measures, probability theory, and both qualitative and quantitative techniques
  • Working knowledge of relevant data analysis programs used by the team
  • Working knowledge of relational database management systems and methods for joining data from different sources
  • Advanced proficiency in a broad range of qualitative and quantitative techniques and tests
Preferred Qualifications?
  • 3 years of experience working with data sets
  • 3 years of experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis
  • 3 years of experience using SQL or other querying languages to create data sets
  • 2 years of leadership, management and administration experience
  • Demonstrated ability in Python, R, PowerBI, or other statistical software
  • Working knowledge of data governance/insights archiving practices
  • Working knowledge of data privacy practices and policies
Job SummaryThe Engineering Team Leader guides a group of focused individuals who analyze business information data to drive our business forward. They also oversee their team's analysis of information pertaining to business operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support their team members on their project deliverables, performance, and career development goals
  • Document, organize and communicate reports/metrics critical to team effectiveness
  • Pull/create reports for higher-level leadership to track strategic goal accomplishment
  • Proactively collaborate with the Pulse and their leader on forecasting and staffing talent needs for their team
  • Communicate and embody the culture and mission of the company
  • Define solution scope and objectives for requests based on user needs and how they impact business processes
  • Devise or modify reporting tools to solve business problems
  • Analyze performance data for new project initiatives
  • Actively participate in multiple channel strategy meetings that focus on data
  • Ensure team members are properly implementing data quality procedures
  • Work closely with clients, partners, technology, and other appropriate business areas to champion projects/initiatives
  • Guide team to synthesize data analytics and research methods to answer strategic business questions/problems systematically
  • Stay abreast of new industry techniques, research practices, software, learning theories and other advancements
