Our pleasant, family-oriented, private general practice in downtown Plymouth is seeking a quality dental hygienist to join our fun, compassionate, and progressive team. We serve all demographics of the population, from preschoolers to senior citizens.
The ideal candidate will be a self starter and have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask. The days for this position are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and every other Saturday (half day).
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform a variety of preventative and periodontal treatments, including prophylaxis, scaling/root planing, and sealants.
Collect medical and dental histories.
Chart hard and soft tissues (periodontal probing, etc.).
Take digital radiographs.
Provide patient education and instructions on home care for people of all ages.
Tear-down, disinfect, and set-up the operatory.
Process and sterilize instruments.
Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide.
Maintain instruments and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Current state dental license is required.
Licenses to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide are preferred but not required.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge and understanding of HIPAA privacy rules.
Compensation is based on experience and benefits (IRA, uniform allowance, CE compensation, vacation time) are offered.
Covid-19 Considerations:
We have all the CDC-recommended, OSHA-required PPE, air purifiers, and Dentsply Purevac HVE. Patients are screened and swish with a pre-treament rinse. Appointments are staggered and scheduled with time in between to allow for thorough room disinfection.
