Job Summary
Part time (24 +/- hours per week) maintenance of a remedial groundwater collection system and grounds maintenance. The selected candidate will be expected to work alone in most circumstances with limited assistance as needed for certain work activities. Work hours are extremely flexible. The primary work location will be a single site located in Shelby Township, MI.
Job Responsibilities
Under the direct or indirect supervision of senior staff, the individual will be responsible for the maintenance of a remote groundwater collection, storage and off-site disposal system that includes a network of electric and pneumatic pumps, piping, storage tanks and controls.
Responsible for all tasks to successfully maintain the collection system, site-wide security and landscape maintenance with daily reporting to supervision.
Performs mechanical preventive maintenance and as necessary, repairs to collection system equipment, to include assessment and implementation of repairs to pumping, controls and processing systems.
Promotes communication by completing weekly and monthly reports on operations and productivity.
Perfect position for a semi-retired maintenance technician or self employed individual.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance preferred.
40-Hr OSHA Hazwoper training is strongly desired but not required.
Self-starter with strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
