Qualifications for a Successful ISDA Negotiator 5-7 years + experience to negotiate ISDA , CSA and ancillary documents with counterparties using set templates and negotiation playbooksHas at least 1 year experience negotiating Initial Margin documentation or has experience negotiating each component agreement required under the Initial Margin regulationHas the required experience to negotiate ISDA terms with counterparty on bespoke documentationLaw degree is preferred, but not required Support a wide range of counterparties including banks, mutual, pension and hedge funds, corporates and insurance companiesEnsure the optimum reduction of risk in line with the credit and legal policies/standards of the bankExtensive contact with clients and their lawyers (including occasional conference calls and meetings) Liaison with the bank's business, credit officers, and legal department and external counsel.
