We Are Hiring: Location: Remote What You Will Do: The Automation Engineer works closely with multiple departments and areas across the organization to identify needs and establish metrics and processes for operational quality, throughput, and accuracy. Development, integration, implementation, and maintenance of systems that automate processes is a key function in supporting engineering value streams. Areas of focus include innovation, process improvement, and shared services.
- Provide technical support, problem-solving, maintenance, modifications, and continuous improvement for automation systems and processes as it relates to the engineering value streams
- Analyze current infrastructure business processes across the enterprise to identify opportunities for automation
- Define and document automation processes, best practices, automation frameworks, and oversee implementation/adoption
- Collaborate with various teams to strategize and align long term solution for automation including roadmap, tools, framework and approach
- Define automation processes to fill the gaps between the as-is processes and industry standard best practices
- Enforce adherence to automation standards, guidelines, usability design standards, governance, etc.
- Evaluate and utilize available tools in the enterprise and formulate best usage
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
- 3 years of experience preferred.
- Proficient with one or more configuration and other DevOps tools like Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.
- Proficient with one or more infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell)
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
- Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce automation standards
- Solid track record in prioritizing and executing tasks when under extreme pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including visual presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or 3-5 years of equivalent experience in an automation role
- Solutions based approach to architecture/automation/engineering
- Previous IT experience in a healthcare organization
