Description:General Responsibilities: Plans and manages activities for multiple test projects to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within a prescribed time frame by performing any combination of all essential duties and responsibilities. Job Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of this position is to support the development of automotive embedded electronic control unit hardware. The main duty is to perform hardware testing of prototypes and creating the subsequent test reports. Other duties may include supporting, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and supporting the root cause analysis of modules returned by the customer during the development stage. The candidate may need to work directly with customer engineers, and directly with team members, to discuss the test report data. The candidate will need to work with other project team members and design engineers, in resolving issues related to the design of the electronic hardware.Skills:hardware testing, Oscilloscope, can testingTop Skills Details:hardware testing,OscilloscopeAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Qualifications: The ideal candidate will: - Have experience with electronics equipment to test ECU’s (oscilloscopes, DMM, Power supplies, function generators, etc.) - Have experience with modifying PCB assemblies (e.g. strong soldering skills) - Have experience creating test plans and test reports; - Have experience interfacing with customers; - Be able to coordinate program activities with team members at remote sites; - Have embedded H/W design experience for automotive applications is preferred; - Design experience with Renesas micro controllers is preferred; - Have experience coordinating and facilitating several small projects and/or one major project. Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong/effective verbal and written communication skills. Experience with PCs and the above application software as well as Lotus Notes is also preferred. Education: Bachelor or Associate degree in in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering Experience: Minimum of 1-4 years applicable experience in automotive ECU testing; Have experience with automotive component and vehicle test procedures, that include hands on hardware testing experience.
