Job Description
The Intern will workover a minimum 6-month period with aSr. Technician or Calibration Engineer, directly supporting a customer program that has been defined in advance by their Mentor. These typically include new calibration tool implementation and documentation, or testing procedure. Additional tasks include:
- Performing guided testson vehicle/dyno
- Upgrading/troubleshooting control modules and instrumentation on prototype vehicles
- Tracking and maintaining calibration equipment
- Creating wiring harnesses for new controllers orinstrumentation
- Maintaining and supporting engineering fleet vehicles
- Supporting Sr. Technicians' daily tasks
Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled ina College or University pursuing an Applied AssociatesDegree degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or similar field; or alternatively pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree - EE/ME/CE (freshman/sophomore),with at least one semester complete.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must be available to work 30 or more hours per week
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
- A valid Michigan Driver's License is required
- Preferred: Automotive-related hobby and/or experience working with engines or vehicles
