A Help Desk Support Technician job in Grand Rapids, MI is available courtesy of Modis. If you have experience as a Help Desk Technician where you provided support to end users, with regard to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, then you are asked to apply to this role. In this position you will be responsible for troubleshooting software, hardware, and application issues.Help Desk Support Technician job responsibilities include:
- Ensure helpdesk tickets flow through the portal and correct channel and assign initial incoming tickets to the correct technician.
- Troubleshoot and perform administrative IT tasks like adding and removing accounts and also resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Provide on-going support to all personnel and clients in the use of end-user hardware and software products.
- Assist with installation of hardware and software for end users.
- A two year degree or education in a specialized course or trades school heavily preferred.
- Excellent communication (phone, email, and in person) and customer service skills required.
- At least two (2+) years of previous help desk experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to ask probing questions to get to the root cause.
- Knowledge of office automation products, operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and peripheral equipment.
- Self-motivated and attention to detail.
