Job Title: Structural Design EngineerJob DescriptionThe Structural Design Engineer will work on the Structural Project Team for design and development projects such as commercial buildings, mixed-use, healthcare, and hospitality buildings around the local Grand Rapids and West Michigan area. Structural projects include wood, concrete, masonry, and steel.Responsibilities
Perform structural modeling and design drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.
Review shop drawings and submittals.
Participate in on-site assessments at project sites.
Produce construction documents for new design, restoration, and building envelope projects.
Perform site visits to observe construction activities.
Communicate and interact with architects and customers.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in structural design.
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
Knowledge of structural analysis and load calculations.
Understanding of building codes and stress calculations.
Familiarity with commercial building structures, load requirements, and building foundations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Passed FE Exam, EIT certification.
1+ years of experience in Structural Design for commercial, mixed-use, healthcare, schools, or hospitality projects.
Experience in Revit.
Master's Degree (preferred).
Work EnvironmentWork in a downtown Grand Rapids office with parking. The role requires working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to work hybrid two days per week if not entry-level. Enjoy 2 weeks of PTO. Collaborate in-office with the structural team, and work within small discipline-specific teams.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.85 - $44.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
