Responsibilities:- Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud VPC environment including server instance, storage instances, subnets, availability zones, etc.
- Hands on working knowledge on deploying AWS Cloud Formation scripts, SSL Certificates- Cloud Security in AWS, specifically IAM Roles & Polices, Security Groups and Encryption keys.
- Standard system admin tasks, including account creation/management, management of IAM roles & associated rights, all as requested by On Semi IT Infrastructure.
- Management/creation of EC2 instances.
- Extensive experience in architecting, designing and programming applications in an AWS Cloud environment.
- Management of S3 storage buckets & permissions.
- Basic network management, including point-to-point VPNs to external partners.
- Certificate management as needed (e.g., for P2P VPNs)
- Configuration of monitoring and alerting as requested by On Semi.
- Configuration/management of AWS CloudTrail in coordination with On Semi IT Security and external MSSP partner.
- Patching, updates & security remediation s within the environment as agreed upon with On Semi.
- Management/implementation of an agreed-upon backup & DR strategy.
- A nice-to-have would be the ability to engage Architect-level consulting hours on an as-requested basis.
- This would likely be an infrequent need, but there is the possibility that we would occasionally need to reassess the environment for both optimization and expansion purposes, as well as activities like DR planning.
- Hands-on in AWS components such as EC2, VPC, WAF, IAM, AWS storage services, Cloudwatch, CloudTrial, Security HUB, Elastic cache, Guard duty, AWS container services, and Inspector.
- Automation script such as Terraform.
- Architecting AWS service based on data, compute, database, or security requirements.
- Migrating an existing on-premises physical/virtual servers to AWS environment.
- Implementing and controlling the flow of data to and from AWS.
- Identifying appropriate use of AWS operational best practices.
- Defining and deploying monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS.
- Conducts assessments and reports vulnerabilities; monitors their ongoing management with the operations teams.
- Create and managing VPC public and private subnet according to infrastructure requirement.
- Setup/Managing VPC, Subnets; make connection between different zones; blocking suspicious ip/subnet via ACL.
- Experience provisioning and spinning up AWS Clusters
- Experience to build scalable production systems (load balancers, memcached, master/slave architectures)
- Produce design documents for effectively hand over infrastructure architectures to Operations teams for successful systems engineering and implementation.
