What You Will Do As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide resident care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Assigned tasks will be completed to ensure timely, efficient and safe resident care. Communicating and interacting with residents, families and other health team members is an essential component of this position.Key Responsibilities
Collect data on all residents under the direction of the RN or LPN
Implement plan of care developed by the RN based on each resident’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, religious, and spiritual needs
Provide direct care to the residents and report condition and changes to RN or LPN
Assure resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective action when appropriate
Document results of resident care per established policy, procedure and scope of practice guidelines
Comply with all ministry policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
What You Will Need License & Certification
Required Credentials
Active Michigan CNA license
Preferred Credentials
BCLS certification
Education & Experience
Preferred Education
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Experience
Previous hospital or long-term care experience
