1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm The Formulations Operator will perform activities in support of the work team including:

Responsible for COVID19 Vaccine processing and formulation. This process involves the use and handling of raw materials such as lipids, organic solvents, and biologic or genetic substances to be processed through a series of manufacturing and separation steps to yield life-saving vaccine. This position is an Operator in the Formulation, performing and learning basic techniques, processes, and operations or preparing sterile medicines and formulation equipment. Work is performed in strict compliance with manufacturing standards and all regulatory requirements

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

General Expectations

  • Work in a safe manner and report all potential safety issues to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Perform all tasks in strict compliance with operating procedures, best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Dependable - Follows unit / area / plant requirements and guidelines.
  • Willing to assist other production units in order to meet unit and site goals.
  • Maintain training at or above 96%.
  • Perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks in support of the Kalamazoo Site objectives.
  • Consistently displays Own-It behaviors in accordance with Pfizer Core Competencies: Seizes accountability; grows self; change agile; self-awareness; commits to one Pfizer; peer relationships.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school diploma / general education degree (GED) and 6 months related experience or military experience or an associate degree.
  • Highly prefer candidates with a food/beverage, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing background.
  • Mathematical Skill: Applicant will possess basic mathematical skills in order to perform calculations in batch records.
  • Reasoning Ability: Applicant should possess basic reasoning ability.
  • Experience in handling and manufacturing of Drug Product, Biologic Drug Substance, and/or Chemical Processing.
  • Previous experience in Drug Product Manufacturing, Biologic Drug Substance Manufacturing, and/or Chemical Processing highly desired, but not required. .

Works a 7-2, 7-2, 7-3 work schedule. Over a four-week period, works Mon-Sun (7 days), off Mon-Tues (2 days), works Wed-Tues (7 days), off Wed-Thurs (2 days), works Fri-Thurs (7 days), & off Fri-Sun (3 days). Weekend, holiday, and overtime may be required to meet business or customer needs. This operation will work 24x7x365.
