Position Summary:

The Assistant Branch Manager establishes goals and manages the operational functions of the facility as consistent with Empyreals goals and objectives, customers expectations, and regulatory requirements. This position supervises branch employees and provides leadership to the facility through efficient daily operations in all areas. The Assistant Branch Manager places value not only on what work gets done, but also how it gets done. The Assistant Branch Manager position is a potential growth opportunity that could lead into a Branch Manager position. This position is not located at a branch office; rather, the Assistant Branch Manager works at a cash processing facility near the Lansing, MI metropolitan area.

Major responsibilities are as follows:

Demonstrates effective leadership skills by acting in a manner that portrays Empyreal's vision, values and desired culture.

Establishes respect for everyone, fosters an environment that provides opportunities for staff to grow and excel; builds and sustains productive relationships. Addresses conflict respectively and constructively. Works in partnership within and across workgroups. Provides both peer and staff level coaching and mentoring.

Maintains and provides best-in-class customer service.

Ensures the operational activities of the work unit meet company standards.

Completes Daily Reporting, Daily Auditing, and Client Invoicing.

Serves as an operational liaison for Empyreals clients.

Maintains follow-up for assigned functional areas

Determines and establishes work priorities and schedules to ensure completion of production jobs to meet timeliness identified in service level agreements while minimizing overtime and other operating expenses.

Monitors units performance to ensure that customer service level commitments are achieved. Tracks and reports units performance to management

Manages all employees in the team including scheduling, performance management, and training and development. Goal is to maintain an engaged and motivated team that achieves business objectives.

Communicates well in verbal and written correspondence. Works with other shift/cost center supervisors, internal and external customers, technical support staff and service representatives to ensure uninterrupted workflow and to resolve discrepancies.

Evaluates operations for process efficiency improvements and makes recommendations to management.

Assists and fills in for delivery drivers, tellers, and other branch personnel as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience is required.

Three or more years of related experience within a bank or credit union is required.

Prior experience managing a team of employees is essential.

Excellent analytical, math skills, and accuracy are essential.

Must possess solid written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and banking database systems is required.

Knowledge of computerized timekeeping systems and routing software is preferred

Familiarity with office and cash processing equipment is preferred.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and shift work as needed.

Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity is of utmost important.
