Michigan, Lansing 00000 Lansing USA

Vacancy expired!

Full-time Secondary Math/Science Classroom Position

New Covenant Christian School is a Christ-centered community, not simply an educational commodity. We are committed to partnering with parents and churches in discipling our students and preparing history-making citizens of God's Kingdom here on earth. We approach all aspects of life and learning from the foundational perspective of a kingdom biblical worldview. We provide classically influenced academically excellent instruction for grades K4-12, in the context of Spirit-filled worship and a culture of honor. We live and work together as families from diverse cultures, ethnicities, and local churches to inspire the Body of Christ to share and demonstrate with one heart the Good News of God's grace, unconditional love, and transforming power!

OUR MISSION: To assist Christian parents in training their children to KNOW God intimately, GROW as lifelong learners, and SOW God's Kingdom presence wherever He plants them.

OUR VISION: To launch generations of world-changers who actively set their hope in God, "understand the times", and are prepared to do whatever God directs.

OUR CORE VALUES:

Worship as a Way of Life. . . We are pursuing life-transforming intimacy with our awesome and almighty

heavenly Father, and endeavoring to glorify, exalt, enjoy, and worship Him with extravagant joy and gratitude

in everything we do.

Spiritual Family in a Culture of Honor. . . We are pursuing a way of life in which students, staff, and

parents have the opportunity to experience the Father-heart of God, find, and call forth the "gold" He has

placed in each of them, and actualize their identity as His sons and daughters.

Partnering with Parents. . . We believe parents have the primary responsibility for the education and

spiritual training of their children. Thus, we endeavor to work in close concert with each home and church to

form a God-pleasing and life- transforming partnership in the life of each student.

Kingdom Excellence. . . We seek to provide a spiritually and academically excellent classically inspired

education from a kingdom biblical worldview perspective, while at the same time utilizing a broad range of

curriculum and methods in our commitment to addressing individual student needs.

Student Leadership Development. . . We intentionally disciple each student to be a committed follower of

the Lord Jesus Christ, and to discover, develop, embrace, and walk out his or her calling as a servant/leader at

school, home, church, and the world.

Generational Transfer. . . We seek to move beyond simple "academic excellence in a Christian

environment" to the impartation of a way of seeing, a way of thinking, a way of learning, and a way of living

that is not only "to" the next generation, but "through” them to the generations to come.

REQUIREMENTS:

BA/BS required. Strongly prefer Michigan certification in secondary education.

Grade-level and Subject-related classroom teaching experience desired.

NCCS faculty members have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and the authority of the Bible, and are

healthy growing Christ-followers with a passion to invest themselves professionally and wholeheartedly in the

preparation of the emerging generations.

Our teachers must demonstrate a consistent desire and growing ability to motivate, connect with, and relate to

parents, students, and fellow staff members.

We intentionally plan, teach, and articulate academic content from a kingdom biblical worldview perspective,

utilizing instructional best practices and daily dependence on the Holy Spirit.
