- The Gas Distribution Technician within the Gas Distribution Geospatial Management & Analytics Team is responsible for inputting gas distribution work orders into an Enterprise GIS Database as well as maintaining and improving existing data.
- Technicians must be able to interpret construction drawings, as-built information coming from the field to determine the work that was performed and what, if anything needs to be updated in the Gas Distribution Geospatial Information System (GIS) using ESRI ArcGIS software.
- They must interact with many different resources across the company to be able to determine the work completed, resolve previous record gaps and perform asset analysis upon request.
- Technicians also produce specialty maps using spatial analysis.
- Proficiency in using GIS software. Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Candidate must be self-motivated with the ability to manage their workload effectively with little supervision and actively learn new skills, systems, and procedures.
- Proficient with ESRI GIS software, Windows, Microsoft Office and GIS concepts.
