PRECISION STAMPING has a 1st Shift position available for a Die Setter / Die Setter in-training. PSC is a deep draw stamping manufacturer and a family business since 1946. We offer a very competitive benefits package including full health, dental, vision, and 401K w/match. Candidate should be comfortable in a manufacturing environment and have superb attention to detail. Enjoying the opportunity to exercise your mechanical skills is a plus. Attendance expectations can be summarized as follows: no matter the skills you may possess or speak to, they do not go very far if you cannot show up for work.

Compensation is $16/hr depending on experience

Trial period of employment is 90-days

Summary:

This is a Skilled Trades position with the expectation that the candidate possesses a strong desire toward continuous learning and development as it relates to the manufacturing of deep drawn metal parts. Commitment and willingness to problem-solving is a must. The position primarily entails verification and assembly of tooling into stamping press that results in conforming parts being produced at acceptable production rates. Creating and maintaining all aspects of a professional/skill trades environment is critical. Additional responsibilities included starting up press, keeping accurate inventory recordings as production is ran, performing required quality checks, interacting with other team members and other departments in a professional manner, and maintaining the organization of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Commitment to learning this trade. Knowledge gained and applied to solve problems is what has enabled Precision Stamping to maintain its operations since 1946. It is our mission to find the next generation of team members who demonstrate commitment to each other through know-how gained and applied.

2. Possess an understanding of mechanics (heights, timing, cams, etc)

3. Basic computer skills.

4. Read and interpret CAD prints.

5. Understanding the importance of work instructions and adhering to them. Taking action to fix work instructions when they are incorrect.

6. Be comfortable with a degree of autonomy to your time management. Understand what work the team needs to accomplish and proactively participate in getting the job done.

7. Follow applicable aspects of Precision Stampings Quality Management System that adheres to IATF 16949 and applicable aspects of Precision Stampings Environment Management System that adheres to ISO 14001.

8. Take personnel pride in quality and production efficiency. Develop the skill set in this trade to solve problems when tooling is not making a conforming part or tooling is not performing to acceptable standards.

9. Assist Department team members in all housekeeping tasks as necessary.

10. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, safety and environmental standards.

11. Leads, guides, and trains employees performing related work.

Job Requirements:

Be able to perform moderate physical activity. Requires regular handling of trays/objects up to 50 pounds.

Standing and/or walking more than 4 hours per day.

Ability to use forklift. (Company is willing to train).

Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.

Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment.

Knowledge of light equipment operation and /or maintenance.

Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.

Experience with scales.

Some computer and Microsoft Office knowledge desired.
