Role : ETL- Data Migration QALocation : Livonia, MIDuration : 6 Months
Responsibilities:- Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
- Conduct end of sprints demos with the client.
- Take lead on defect management process and conduct defect triage meetings
- Assess and understand business requirements
- Validate business requirements against the implementation through comprehensive testing
- Produce client deliverables such as detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports any other assets described in the SOW
- Ensure deliverables are of the highest quality to promote client satisfaction
- Acting as an Agile tester, flexible to play multiple roles in the team
- Share knowledge with the team through training, documents, etc
- Flexibility to learn new technologies as required by project
- Write test scripts for data migration testing - compare data from Source to target tables
- Execute data scripts and detailed analysis on the scripts
- Create strategies and test cases for applications for Data migration efforts
- Identify effective stratgies for validating data migrated from Source to Target
- Execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of data related projects
- Provide input and support big data testing initiative
- Define and track quality assurance metrics and Be responsible for quality analysis
- Document all problems and assists in their resolution
- Independently manage assigned tasks
- Coach and mentor junior people
- Extraordinary level of understanding for complex business requirements
- Hands on experience of ETL, BI and/or Big Data Testing required
- 5+ years of Data migration testing experience is a must
- Hands on experience testing in DataBricks and Hive required
- Hands on experience in the following activities: test Execution and test results reporting for Data migration activities
- Hands on experience with Tableau reports testing
- Experience in at least one of the following platforms: Hive, Databricks
- Create SQL scripts based Data migration inventory documents
- Expert in Database testing with excellent SQL skills and queries
- Experience testing Big Data systems
- Deep understanding of automation test framework for data migration testing
- Knowledge of Scala is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Must be flexible to new situations and challenges
- Passion for delivery
- Good time management skills
- Problem solving skills are required
