We are seeking a childcare lead and assistant to join our team!
Qualifications & Responsibilities of a Lead Teacher:
-Be at least 19 years of age
-Be able and available to work full time
-Have a high school degree or equivalent education
-Meet Lead Caregiver requirements per the State Licensing Standards
-Submit to various background checks including those completed through the Department of Human Services, the Michigan State Police Department and FBI Fingerprinting
-Be CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certified or obtain certification upon hire
-Complete a Tuberculosis test and physical and provide a physicians documentation of both
-Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a large group of children
-Be available for full time employment and available to work as late as 6:15 pm
-Have dependable transportation
-Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
-Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
-Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
Responsibilities of a Lead & Assistant Teacher:
-Be at least 18 years of age (Assistants Only)
-Create a fun and safe learning environment
-Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
-Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children up to 45lbs
-Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, and have minimal absences
-Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities
-Maintain the health and safety of all students
-Communicate with parents on their child's day
-Maintain professionalism
-Positive and patient demeanor
-Passionate about working with children
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Team player
