Job Summary. Wont start fully until April or may of 2026.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across various property types. This role is consistent on incoming calls! We are expanding downstate and my time will be divided up here 2 weeks out of the month. Meaning i need someone to take on a 24/7 roll 2 weeks out of the month around April or may 2026. I do not care what you do the other 2 weeks out of the month but if its your turn and the phone rings you need to be available. Pay will be 45% of total bill for regular hour service calls. Pay will be 50% of total bill for after hour service calls. Installs are as they come at which point you will be moved to hourly at $35/ hr. I offer a weeks vacation for every year your here and consistent in your performance. Customer satisfaction is key with what we do. Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years experience in all fields of hvacr. We are an expanding company looking to grow. Must be able to pass a background check and driving record check. You will have access to a vehicle and tools will be provided. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in the field. Must be customer friendly and adapt to different environments. Candidates with experience in construction, service technician roles, or property maintenance are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and other mechanical equipment.
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to ensure proper installation and maintenance procedures.
Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards.
Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems as needed, including pipe fitting and component replacement.
Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and perform equipment repairs or replacements accordingly.
Utilize welding skills for system repairs or modifications when necessary.
Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all work performed.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems and general building operations.
Operate field service vehicles safely while adhering to all transportation regulations.
Skills
Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar role within construction or property maintenance environments.
Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration units.
Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately.
Skilled in plumbing, equipment repair, welding, and general maintenance tasks.
Experience with appliance repair and boiler systems is a plus.
Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
Knowledge of field service operations with the ability to work independently in diverse environments.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for safe transportation between job sites.
