Blarney Castle Oil Co. is seeking a full time Propane Tank Setter / Driver to work out of the Cheboygan / St Ignace Branch Office. As a Propane Tank Setter you will deliver and install propane tanks to residential and commercial customers utilizing a boom truck.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
High school diploma or GED.
Successful completion of driver training certification from an accredited technical school or specialty driving program, combined with a minimum of six months experience operating comparable equipment.
Must be 21 years old, as required by DOT regulations in order to legally haul hazardous materials.
Must possess and maintain a current, valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with required endorsements to operate a motor vehicle over 26,000 pounds. Endorsements include air brake, tanker and hazardous materials.
Must complete all procedures necessary to maintain the Class B CDL, including completion of an annual physical conducted by a physician of company’s choosing at company expense, submitting to random drug and alcohol testing, and annual review of driving record violations.
Possess state Class C training and certification for hazardous materials, complying with EPA and MDEQ regulations.
Basic math skills and the ability to calculate and record rate, ratio and percentage data.
Good communication skills and ability to interact with customer representatives.
Must be able to work on uneven surfaces and ascend and descend a ladder safely.
Sound, mature judgment and ability to operate safely at all times.
